Application: IPTV Player: Smart Live TV · Publisher: GoldenPlace · Distributed on: GoldenPlace Store
Last updated: August 31, 2026
Content disclaimer. IPTV Player: Smart Live TV is a media player. We do not provide, host, store, index, or sell any live television, video, or audio content. All streams are provided by the user (for example, through an M3U or Xtream playlist that the user imports). You are solely responsible for the content you load into the app and for ensuring you have the right to access and play it.
1. Introduction & Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how GoldenPlace ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information
when you use the mobile application IPTV Player: Smart Live TV (the "App") and any related services
(collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy and the applicable Terms of Use.
If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
For purposes of data protection laws, we act as a "controller" (or equivalent) for information we process about you.
Terms like "personal data," "personal information," or "PI" are used generically to mean information that identifies or relates to an identifiable person.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Playlist data (stays on your device): the M3U/M3U8 URL or file you import, the playlist name, an optional color/icon label, and any credentials (Xtream username/password) you enter. This information is stored locally on your device for playback and is not transmitted to our servers.
- Support requests: when you email vailbalanceres@gmail.com or use in-app "Send feedback," we receive the contents of your message and any metadata you include (device model, app version, description of the issue) so we can respond.
- Purchases: when you subscribe or make an in-app purchase, the transaction is handled by the store (Google Play or GoldenPlace Store). We receive the resulting entitlement (e.g., that you have an active subscription), not your payment card or billing address. See Section 7.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device & app diagnostics: device model, operating system version, language and region, app version, screen category, coarse country, session duration, crash logs and stack traces, and anonymous event counters (for example, "playlist imported," "playback started"). These are collected via Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and Firebase Remote Config.
- Advertising identifiers: the Google Advertising ID (AAID) on Android, together with technical signals required by ad SDKs to serve ads and measure conversions. This is used by Google AdMob. Whether ads are personalized depends on the consent choice you make in the in-app consent screen (see Section 6).
- Network information: IP address (as a normal part of any internet connection), general network type (Wi-Fi / mobile), and connectivity state — used to detect whether streams can be reached and to comply with regional requirements.
- No login required. The App does not ask you to create an account, and it does not collect your name, email, phone number, address, contacts, calendar, photos, camera or microphone data, or precise GPS location.
What we do NOT collect. We do not scan or upload the contents of the streams you play. The stream data goes directly from the origin server (the one you configured in your playlist) to your device's media player. It does not pass through our servers.
3. How We Use Information
- Provide and maintain the Services — load and play the playlists you import, remember your favorites and language, restore your subscription entitlement.
- Diagnose crashes and errors, and improve stability and performance.
- Measure aggregate feature usage so we can prioritize improvements.
- Deliver advertising (personalized or non-personalized based on your consent) and measure ad performance.
- Deliver remotely-configured content (for example, feature flags, in-app messages, help text) via Firebase Remote Config.
- Respond to your support requests and feedback.
- Detect, prevent and respond to fraud, abuse, or security incidents; comply with legal obligations; enforce our Terms.
4. Legal Bases (GDPR / EEA / UK where applicable)
- Contract: to deliver the App features you request (playback, subscription, restore purchase).
- Legitimate interests: app stability, crash diagnostics, fraud prevention, aggregated analytics, non-personalized advertising.
- Consent: personalized advertising and any optional analytics. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland the App shows a Google-certified consent dialog (Google UMP / IAB TCF) the first time you open it. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time from Settings → Privacy inside the App.
- Legal obligation: to comply with applicable laws, regulations and lawful requests.
5. How We Share Information
- Service providers. Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd. (Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Remote Config, Firebase Hosting, Google AdMob, Google User Messaging Platform, Google Play Billing).
- Ad-tech partners. When personalized ads are enabled, Google AdMob may share limited signals with authorized advertising partners in order to serve and measure ads. The list of authorized ad partners on our domain is published in our
app-ads.txt file.
- Store operator. Purchases and subscription renewals are handled by the store from which you downloaded the App (Google Play, GoldenPlace Store). The store has its own privacy policy.
- Legal & safety. We may disclose information to comply with a lawful request, to enforce our Terms, to prevent fraud or abuse, or to protect the rights, safety or property of our users, the public or GoldenPlace.
- Business transfer. If GoldenPlace is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the terms of this Policy.
- Aggregated / de-identified data. We may publish or share statistics that do not identify any individual.
- We do not sell your personal information.
6. Advertising, Analytics & Cookies
6.1 Ads
The free version of the App is monetized by ads served through Google AdMob (banner, native and interstitial ad units, plus an app-open ad). AdMob may use your Google Advertising ID together with limited technical signals to serve and measure ads. If you have an active subscription, ads are not displayed.
6.2 Consent (EEA / UK / Switzerland)
In regions where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, the App shows a Google-certified consent screen (Google User Messaging Platform, IAB TCF v2.2) the first time you launch it. You can:
- Consent to personalized ads and analytics,
- Reject personalized ads (in which case only non-personalized ads are shown), or
- Change your choice later from Settings → Privacy inside the App.
6.3 Analytics & diagnostics
We use Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Remote Config, all provided by Google. These SDKs help us understand aggregate usage, diagnose crashes, and roll out configuration changes safely. You can find Google's related documentation at
firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
6.4 Your device-level ad controls
Note. Opting out limits personalization; it does not remove ads entirely. Some ads may still be shown in a non-personalized (contextual) form.
7. Subscriptions & In-App Purchases
The App offers optional premium subscriptions (for example, weekly, monthly, yearly) that remove ads and unlock premium features. All payments are processed by the store from which you installed the App (Google Play or GoldenPlace Store). We never see or store your payment card, bank details or full billing address.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in the store's account settings.
- The App uses the "Restore purchase" flow to re-query your entitlements from the store; this returns only the entitlement, not personal payment data.
8. Your Choices & Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you;
- Object to, or restrict, certain processing;
- Withdraw a previously-given consent (for example, for personalized ads);
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Because the App does not require an account, the primary personal identifier we hold is your Advertising ID. You can reset or delete this ID at any time from your device settings, which is the most effective way to disassociate future analytics and ad events from past ones.
For any other request, email us at vailbalanceres@gmail.com with the subject line "Privacy request" and a description of what you would like us to do. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
9. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in the user's jurisdiction, such as 16 in parts of the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at
vailbalanceres@gmail.com and we will take reasonable steps to delete it. The App is not certified under any children's program (for example, Google Play "Designed for Families").
10. International Transfers
Because the Services rely on Google infrastructure (Firebase, AdMob, Google Play Billing), your data may be processed on servers located outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, we and our providers use appropriate safeguards for those transfers, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. Data Retention
- Playlists and app settings: stored locally on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App.
- Analytics events: retained by Firebase Analytics according to the retention window we configure (by default, 2 months to 14 months).
- Crash reports: retained by Firebase Crashlytics for up to 90 days.
- Support emails: retained as long as reasonably necessary to resolve your request and to meet legal record-keeping obligations.
- Subscription entitlements: retained for the duration of your subscription and for a reasonable period afterwards to handle refunds and disputes.
12. Security
We use technical and organizational measures that are appropriate to the sensitivity of the data we handle, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) between the App and Google services. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Please keep your device secure (screen lock, up-to-date OS, trusted network) — the local playlists you store in the App are protected by that device-level security.
13. Do Not Track
There is no common industry standard for how mobile apps should respond to a browser-level "Do Not Track" signal. Instead, use the in-app consent screen and your device-level ad and analytics controls described in Section 6.
14. California & Regional Notices
14.1 California (CCPA / CPRA)
California residents have the right to know, delete, correct and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of their personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.
We do not sell personal information for money. Some ad-related processing may be considered a "share" under California law; you can opt out of that processing through the in-app consent screen (Section 6.2) or by disabling ad personalization at the device level.
14.2 EEA / UK
See Section 4 for the legal bases on which we rely, and Section 6.2 for how to change your consent.
14.3 Other regions
Where local law grants additional rights or imposes specific obligations (for example, Brazil's LGPD, Canada's PIPEDA, or applicable APAC laws), we will honor those to the extent applicable.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, if the change is material, notify you in-app or by other appropriate means. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date signifies acceptance of the updated Policy.
